Catalogue distributor Farnell is adding extra explosion-proof and intrinsically safe audible and visual alarms to its catalogues as the result of a global agreement with Clifford & Snell. The products complement alarm sounders and strobes that are already available.

The global deal is an extension of an existing long- term supply deal between the two companies for alarm sounders and strobes.

Trevor Gage, general manager at Clifford & Snell, said: “The agreement will allow our successful and well-established relationship to progress considerably both in the UK and on an international basis.”

Andrew Fawcett, Farnell's warning devices product manager, said: “The expansion of our hazardous products portfolio through Clifford & Snell's audio visual alarms is another example of Farnell's commitment to keeping abreast of global demands with diversification into industrial markets.”
