LONDON A Farnell InOne team raised £2,759 by taking part in The Great Yorkshire Bike Ride, the UK's longest sponsored bike ride, which this year raised £109,791 bringing the 22-year running total for the event to over £1.3million.
The Farnell InOne team won an award for highest sponsorship which is shared between a number of charities including Heart Research UK, ChildLine, The Fund for Epilepsy and Disability Action Yorkshire.
A record 1,553 cyclists took part in the 70-mile ride from Wetherby to Filey. Over 26,000 cyclists have ridden a total of 1,826,300 miles in the Great Yorkshire Bike Ride since it began in 1984.
