London, UK The Tyco Electronics Distributor of the Year for the UK and Ireland, which is based on points awarded for achieving and exceeding sales targets throughout the year, has been awarded to Farnell InOne.
Mick Finch, key account manager at Tyco Electronics for Farnell InOne, explained the key factor for Tyco Electronics is a distributor's ability to take new and existing products to market. “We introduce many new products every year, and Farnell InOne is very good at getting lots of orders for us as the market develops.”
Added Ian McFadyen, distribution manager at Tyco Electronics', said, “Points are awarded throughout the year for attainment of agreed business targets and achievement of sales initiatives, then at the end of the year further points are awarded for actual POS and year on year growth. For 2003 Farnell InOne were clear winners.”
“Tyco Electronics and Farnell InOne enjoy a good relationship across all market sectors, and in 2003 they added over 300 new lines to their catalogue, bringing the total number of Tyco Electronics lines to over 8000,” added McFadyen.
