LONDON To increase its coverage to include Spain and Portugal, the Advanced Technology Group (ATeG) has recruited Anatronic. ATeG was formed last November by three of Europe's design-in distributors.
It joins founder members GD Technik of the UK, Ineltek of Germany and Swiss-based Anatec in a grouping that aims to provide customers with a wider ex-stock inventory choice and stronger application expertise.
John Pater, Anatronic's managing director, said, “Having local offices in the various regions of the Iberian peninsula is extremely important.” Anatronic has offices in Madrid, Barcelona and Bilbao in Spain, and also in Lisbon in Portugal.
Lisalynn Carter, managing director of GD Technik, said, “As Atmel's number one design-in distributor for the Spanish and Portuguese markets the company has great synergy with the other ATeG members and has worked with them in the past. Bringing Anatronic into the fold not only gives us wider European coverage it also provides greater choice, strengthening both the ATeG line card and increasing the inventory holding available to all ATeG customers.
Advanced Technology Group also believes it is well placed to attract new franchises looking for a 'local' approach to distribution across Europe that has a strong design-in focus.
