LONDON RFIC simulation tool supplier, Xpedion Design Systems, has opened a European headquarters and formed Xpedion France, which adds to its current support in the United Kingdom and Sweden.
The office is located in Limoges and will be managed by Dr. Jean Rousset who co-founded Xpedion with Dr. Edouard Ngoya in 1997. The pair were based at the University of Limoges and the company set-up came about through an agreement with the Institute de en Communications Optiques et Microondes (IRCOM) of the Research Centre National de la Recherche Scientique (CNRS) and the University of Limoges.
The joint development has created an advanced simulator for RF IC design, GoldenGate. Xpedion France is to hire local personnel in an effort to better support existing and future customers.
Dr. Rousset, said, “The collaboration between Xpedion and CNRS has been very productive over the past six years. Xpedion France will allow a larger platform with which to continue this development.”
Xpedion's RFIC simulation technology enables RFIC designers to analyze their designs at the transistor level faster and more accurately.
