LONDON GÖPEL Electronics has opened a subsidiary in the U.K. in order to establish its extended boundary scan solutions in what it regards as one of the most important European markets.
Karl Miles, who has been appointed as sales manager of GÖPEL Electronics Ltd, has previous experience as field applications engineer with XJTAG and 8 years as a hardware engineer with BAE Systems and Nortel Networks.
The new office is located in Cottenham, Cambridgeshire and is intended to be the base for a JTAG/boundary scan application centre.
“Technologically, the UK market is one of the most demanding in Europe and therefore highly interesting for our new software and hardware platform solutions SCANFLEX and SYSTEM CASCON,” said Thomas Wenzel, co-founder and managing director of GÖPEL Electronic’s boundary scan division. “By this strategically important expansion, we are now in an outstanding position to meet the increasing demands for Extended Boundary Scan applications with our highly flexible reconfigurable systems in connection with the excellent local customer support that Karl can provide.”
The new subsidiary will be responsible for both the U.K. and Irish markets and continue to work with the company's existing distributors Cimbian UK Ltd. and Accelonix Ltd.
GÖPEL Electronic (Jena/Germany) was founded in 1991 has more than 4,500 worldwide system installations. The company also has offices in the U.S. and France.
