Greenwoods’ adds ADC in European deal

Birmingham, UK — Greenwoods Communications has signed an agreement to distribute throughout Europe the fibre and copper connectivity, wireline and wireless products manufactured by ADC.

Bob Peters, sales and marketing director at Greenwoods, said, “With ADC's products, we believe we can strengthen our portfolio to provide true end-to-end network infrastructure solutions in the UK and globally. Our aim is to provide customers with a single source for products and network services. Adding the ADC range to our portfolio strengthens our offering and ensures we provide customers with increased choice.”

Greenwoods Communications provides custom-built solutions for telecom network operators and OEMs as well as a range of modular services, including outsourcing of procurement and logistics, network installation and deinstallation, and custom design and manufacture. Customers include Alcatel, Cable & Wireless, Energis, Fibernet, Global Crossing, Nokia, Nortel Networks, NTL, Orange, T-Mobile, Thus and Vodafone.

Hubert Schanne, managing director of Europe for ADC, said, “In collaboration with Greenwoods, we aim to expand our market penetration throughout the UK and the rest of the EU by delivering world-class customer service and solutions to major pan-European telecommunications service providers, mobile operators and large corporations.”

Greenwoods Communications was set up in 1989 and employs over 400 people. It HQ is in Birmingham, with a regional facility in Frankfurt, Germany.
