LONDON Pippa Hall has been appointed to the newly created position of global media relations manager for the Power Electronics Division (PED) of C&D Technologies and will be based at the C&D PED European headquarters in Milton Keynes in the U.K.
Hall will provide the interface between the multiple global operations of C&D’s Power Electronics Division and the world’s media. She will also be responsible for managing a communications strategy that integrates the activities of the companies acquired by C&D PED in 2004.
Prior to joining C&D Technologies, Hall spent 12 years with Radix Micro Devices, a specialist in ultra-rugged mobile computing. In her most recent role at Radix she had global marketing communications responsibility for both the U.S. and the U.K. Radix businesses.
In 2004 the product portfolio as well as the global design and manufacturing capabilities of the Power Electronics Division were enhanced as a result of three key acquisitions; U.K.-based Celab, a designer and manufacturer of power conversion products for military, cable television and high-end telecommunications applications; Datel, a U.S.-based producer of medium-power DC/DC converters, data acquisition products and digital panel meters; and CPS, the former Power Systems Division of Celestica, a Canadian manufacturer of DC/DC and AC/DC power supplies.
