LONDON Angelo Guttoriello has been appointed as managing director of the European subsidiary of Hammond Electronics, a manufacturer of small plastic, die-cast aluminium and metal enclosures.
Since 2003, when Angelo joined Hammond as general manager, the business has grown to the point where the factory has recently been doubled in size, enabling service levels to be improved on the back of higher stock levels of standard products.
Substantially more space has also been allocated to the customisation department, where products are punched, drilled and silk-screened to customers' specifications. The product portfolio has also been enhanced, with several new ranges launched or in development.
Guttoriello's new role will enable him to concentrate on building deeper relationships with the existing network of European distributors and further developing the distribution base geographically.
