LONDON Brand-Rex, a cabling manufacturer headquartered in Glenrothes, Scotland, has been acquired from Honeywell International by The Gores Group, a privately held investment firm.
Brand-Rex designs, develops and manufactures sophisticated and high performance cabling solutions for communications and extreme environment applications. The company has manufacturing facilities in the U.K. and sales and marketing bases in the U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Scandinavia and the Middle East.
The Gores Group was set up in 1987, Gores and is a private investment firm focused on the technology, telecommunications, and business services sectors. Headquartered in Los Angeles, California, Gores maintains offices in Boulder, Colorado; New York; Zurich and London.

Brand-Rex has two primary businesses. Its Connectivity division designs and manufactures cabling systems (both copper and fibre) for data communications while the Speciality division exclusively produces cables that are used for control, communications, power and instrumentation within hostile environments.
