Icera Inc. and Rohde & Schwarz are working together to enable the wireless industry to certify and deploy LTE technology. The Global Certification Forum (GCF) is currently working towards introducing LTE certification by the end of 2010.
The collaboration is part of Rohde & Schwarz’s LTE protocol conformance test program. Rohde & Schwarz already supports four different frequency bands and offers more than 100 test cases for FDD.
Icera Inc. (Bristol UK), is a fabless semiconductor company, providing software-defined modem chipsets for the smartphone and mobile broadband device markets. Its technology supports 4G (LTE), 3G (HSPA) and 2G standards.
