Inelco Hunter buys Felco to broaden range

LONDON — Inelco Hunter Ltd. has acquired Felco (Electronics) Ltd, a value-added distributor of connectors and cable assemblies based in Thatcham, England.

Inelco Hunter Ltd (Theale, England), which distributes, displays, electronic components and Fujitsu thermal printers, was formed in April 2005 from the merger of Inelco (founded 1993), the distribution business of Hunter Electronic Components (founded 1977), and Peter Gray Electronics (founded 1974).

Felco was established in 1982 initially to represent manufacturers of passive components as their sole agents and distributors

“Merging these two distribution businesses with their complementary product ranges will provide our customers with a more comprehensive and competitive product range, whilst at the same time broadening our customer support which is so necessary to provide a total solution,” said Steve Seigne, sales director of Inelco Hunter.

Inelco Hunter already supplies the Preci-dip range of high-precision press-fit technology and spring-loaded connectors and the acquisition will add Oupin and Suyin connectors to its portfolio.
