LONDON Innos has appointed Southampton University's Director of Finance, Malcolm Ace, to its board of directors to provide expertise in finance as part of its growth into commercial and academic sectors.
Innos (Southampton, UK) is a research and development company delivering expertise in silicon, MEMS and nanotechnologies and Andrew Monk, CEO of Innos, said, “Innos needed a senior director with strong financial skills to help guide the future growth of the company.” Ace has been Director of Finance at Southampton University since 2004, having been Director of Finance at Portsmouth University from 1999 to 2004 and has spent over twenty years working in senior financial management at Universities across the country including Oxford and Manchester.
Ace added, “I am very pleased to be joining Innos at such an exciting time, as it works to promote collaboration between universities, research institutions and industry, to bring intellectual property with clear-cut commercial applications to market.”
Innos will be holding an open day on 7th July at its facilities in Southampton. The day will be a chance for academic and industry representatives to network and put forward project proposal ideas in order to attract a £200,000 pump-priming fund supported by Innos and EPSRC.
