LONDON Intel has teamed up with Dolby Laboratories and Pinewood Shepperton Studios with an opportunity for all promising filmmakers across the U.K.
The Intel Digital Home Short Film Competition, which aims to discover fresh new filmmaking talent, challenges aspiring directors to create an arresting 8-minute movie that could win them £5000 and the chance to gain invaluable experience at Pinewood Shepperton Studios.
Throughout September, filmmakers are invited to submit a 500 – 1,000 word proposal for a short film that incorporates a ‘digital home scene’, such as a character using an entertainment PC, in a way that is integral to the plot. 10 finalists will be selected in October to make their films with the help of a £500 grant from Intel.
The finalists will have the opportunity to attend a gala screening of their films to an audience that will include industry representatives on the lookout for new talent.
The director of the winning short film will receive the cash prize and a digital home pack from Intel, including an entertainment PC and personal media player and will also win a one-month internship at Pinewood Shepperton Studios in order to get hands-on experience.
