Java supplier joins Windows embedded program
LONDON Aicas (Karlsruhe, Germany), a supplier of Java technology for high-performance embedded applications, has become a member of Microsoft Windows Embedded Partner Program.
JamaicaVM, aicas's flagship product, is a standards-compliant Java Virtual Machine (JVM) that is used for a variety of embedded applications. It addresses all Windows Embedded CE segments, including mobile devices, personal electronics, industrial automation, process control, medical apparatus, test systems, and telecommunications devices.
“With Windows Embedded CE and the real-time and safety benefits of aicas’ JamaicaVM solution, developers will be able to create smarter, more connected devices for everyday experiences in the home, on the road and at work,” said Jeff Felbeck, senior partner marketing manager with Windows Embedded at Microsoft Corp.
