Kingdom elected president of DSL Forum

LONDON — Steve Kingdom, global business manager for KTL, has been elected president of the DSL Forum, the international industry consortium for the development of broadband DSL Technologies.

Since joining the DSL Forum in 1999, Kingdom has participated in the development of DSL Interoperability Standards, the development of the DSL Forum Independent Test Lab Program and the development of the DSL Forum European Logo Program. He was elected onto the board of directors in 2003, where he has chaired the finance and audit committee and led several strategic initiatives of the board.

Kingdom said, “Along with more focus on consumer electronics, remote management and the latest flavours of DSL, I am looking forward to seeing an increase in high-quality, global DSL penetration as we strive towards the 2010 goal of 500million DSL subscribers.”
