LONDON Powerlase Ltd has opened a service center in Korea following the signing of major deals with Samsung and LG. An applications laboratory will also be developed later in 2007.
Powerlase (Crawley, England), a manufacturer of nanosecond Q-switched, diode-pumped solid state (DPSS) lasers, has opened the office in Daegu which will be staffed by a local team of U.K. trained service engineers and support staff.
The centre will also act as a test and collaboration facility to assist customers in the development of tailor made products, and a training facility for Powerlase's customers engineers.
The Korean service centre will be jointly manned by Laser Spectronix, Powerlase’s major distribution partner for Korea.
