Linaro ARM server efforts targets Linux code

SAN JOSE, Calif. – ARM-based servers will get some of the low-level Linux software they need thanks to a new initiative in Linaro, the non-profit group that has been developing open-source code for mobile Linux on ARM.

.The Linaro Enterprise Group (LEG) forming now will set a road map for its efforts in the next several weeks with first code coming before the end of the year. It expects to develop open source versions of a common boot environment, system image and other optimizations.
