LONDON, Julian Hawkins, who gained a bachelor’s degree in computer science with honours from Manchester University, has been appointed vice president of Worldwide Sales for network semiconductor specialist, IDT.
Hawkins (left) , who has worked in the semiconductor industry for 18 years, will be responsible for the global IDT sales organization, consisting of approximately 450 direct salespeople and manufacturing representatives, and a global network of distributors in more than 50 countries.
He has held sales and marketing positions at semiconductor companies in North America, Asia Pacific and Europe. He joins IDT from Infineon Technologies, where he spent the last three years as vice president of sales for North America.
Previous experience also includes eight years at Samsung Semiconductor, where he held various management positions, including vice president of marketing for memory and flat panel LCD sales in the Americas.
