Micronas licenses ARC USB controller

Micronas has licensed ARC's USB High-Speed On-the-Go (USBHS-OTG) controller for use in consumer and multimedia products.

The low gate count USBHS-OTG architecture enables design of power efficient handheld USB peripherals, which can communicate directly without the need for a PC.

In early 2001, Micronas integrated ARC's USB core into an audio controller that was developed for a range of dedicated audio applications such as USB headsets, PC connectivity for stereo systems, and online gaming including the Live Kit for the Microsoft Xbox.
