Well, a few months ago, the MIPI Alliance really caught my attention. And, judging by your interest in the recent MIPI articles on the site (MIPI M-PHY takes center stage ; Unification in the RF front-end: the new MIPI standard ), I would venture to say it has caught your attention as well.
Recently, they gave me some updates on their progress, here are some bullets for you:
- Membership now exceeds 200 member companies and over 5000 active participants
- During its 7-year history, the organization has released more than 30 specifications
- Analyst firm IPNest reports that there will be 700 million MIPI-powered integrated circuits in production in 2010, growing to 6.2 billion units by 2015.
