LONDON AMI Semiconductor (AMIS) has expanded its mixed-signal semiconductor design and support capabilities with the opening of a design centre in Sofia, Bulgaria.
AMIS will use the Sofia Design Centre to develop and support mixed-signal ICs for automotive, industrial and consumer applications. The engineering team at the Centre have experience in the development and implementation of mixed-signal semiconductor devices, including specific expertise in the field of integrated sensors.
Nelly Pergoot has been appointed to act as both the manager of the Design Centre and the managing director of AMI Semiconductor Bulgaria. Previously the AMIS quality director for Europe, Pergoot holds an MS degree in Physics and has been involved in the electronics sector for 15 years. Prior to joining AMIS, she held senior engineering roles at Alcatel Microelectronics and Mietec.
