Mobile broadband router integrates UMTS TD-CDMA access with Wi-Fi, Ethernet

Netgear and IPWireless announced a jointly developed product available for mobile operators and broadband service providers worldwide. With the Netgear UMTS TD-CDMA Mobile Broadband Router, operators can enhance their service by providing an easy way for subscribers to integrate their UMTS TD-CDMA mobile broadband access with Wi-Fi and Ethernet to create mobile, portable, or stationary hotspots.

The router will support UMTS TD-CDMA networks in any of the available bands. Additional features include: four 10/100-Mbit/s auto-sensing, RJ-45 ports; integrated 802.11g and mobile broadband access with UMTS TD-CDMA; and a security firewall.
