Multimedia device brings recognition to Wolfson
LONDON Wolfson Microelectronics plc has been named as a winner of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category, specifically for the technology in the WM9713L, an integrated audio semiconductor device for advanced multimedia mobile phones.
Andy Pringle, Wolfson’s VP of Quality, said, “It is a tremendous honour to receive this award in recognition of the design of one of our leading products and I am delighted to collect it on behalf of the company. The WM9713L provides outstanding levels of integration for mobile communications devices and its success is testament to Wolfson’s design expertise.”
The WM9713L was introduced by Wolfson in 2004 and is used by companies designing PDAs, mobile phones and similar handheld mobile communications tools.
