Brighton UK Richard Edwards has taken over as managing director of Amplicon Liveline, the Brighton based distributor. He was most recently MD for Rosti, a plastics technology group, where he led an international review team in the strategic analysis of UK business
Edwards has a number of years of experience in reviewing and setting company strategies and vision and has a proven track record in re-focussing company activities in new directions in order to increase profit levels.
He was also managing director at Hosiden Besson, a designer and manufacturer of telecoms equipment, where he led the successful sale of the UK company to Japanese owners, and was retained to run the business succeeding in increasing efficiency by 30% and productivity by 220% with dramatic savings in labour and fixed costs.
Edwards also has experience of identifying new products and markets and finding products to fit those markets.

Edwards said, “Over the coming months we shall be identifying new directions and strategies both in the UK and overseas. We will begin to increase our exposure to export markets, in addition to revisiting the Amplicon own brand products as we consider all issues for the best way forward.”
