Northern signs deal with ‘new’ Souriau

London, UK — Merseyside-based Northern Connectors, which was one of FCI's key UK franchised distributors for several years, has signed an agreement with Souriau. Earlier this year FCI, sold its MAI division, essentially the entire portfolio of military, aerospace, industrial and space businesses to a management buy-out funded by senior management and AXA Equities and the new company formed was Souriau Connection Technology Souriau also supplies the Burndy range of industrial and electrical interconnection products.

Peter Herbert, Souriau UK's general manager, believes Northern Connectors will be a major contributor to the promotion and design-in of Souriau product. “Judging from the excellent performance of this distribution company over the past 20 years with the Burndy and Souriau ranges and, in particular, its franchised assembly for the 851 MIL-C-24682 SI, plus the company's design-in capability for the 840 circular connectors and MSM rectangular connectors, we are hoping to achieve dynamic results with Northern Connectors.”

Keith Hewitt, managing director of Northern Connectors, said “We have gained considerable experience over the past 20 years with the Burndy product range as it was our very first franchise. As the No. 1 distributor for Souriau product within the FCI Group, we understand the products and their applications in very diverse markets, which include electronic, industrial, electrical and even the oil/gas petrol-chemical industries”
