LONDON NXP Semiconductors had revamped its management team with the appointments of Kurt Sievers as general manager for the automotive business and Frans Scheper as general manager for the standard products business.
Sievers previously managed the automotive safety and comfort business line, while Scheper served as general manager of the general applications (discretes) business line within the multimarket semiconductors business.
Sievers takes on responsibility for the overall automotive business unit from president and CEO Rick Clemmer, who held the role since Marc de Jong, executive vice president and general manager of the automotive and identification business unit, decided to rejoin Philips, where he spent over 20 years prior to joining NXP in 2005.
Frans Scheper`s role as general manager for standard products is a newly created position.
Both executives will report to president and CEO Rick Clemmer.
