LONDON Glenn Palmer has been appointed as managing director of Murata U.K. succeeding Dick Oram, with responsibility for all areas of operation in the U.K. and Ireland.
Palmer (left) joined Murata U.K. (Fleet, England) in 1990 and was most recently sales and marketing manager for the U.K. and Ireland.
“I am really excited by the additional responsibilities of being managing director at a time when there are still significant opportunities for Murata’s business in the U.K. and Ireland,” said Palmer.
Oram who has been managing director of Murata U.K. since 1982 and a Murata European board member, will remain as both chairman of the U.K. operation and managing director of Murata France. Oram will also continue to have responsibility for Murata’s overall marketing strategy from a pan-European perspective.
