LONDON Frontier Silicon, the Watford based fabless manufacturer of semiconductors for digital radio, TV and mobile TV products, has been selected as the start-up to watch award by the Fabless Semiconductor Association’s (FSA) venture capital advisory board.
Anthony Sethill, CEO of Frontier Silicon said, “We are extremely delighted to have won this prestigious international award. It is recognition of both our achievement in pioneering and commercialising low cost technology for mass market digital radio products in Europe, and our intent on achieving similar results in the emerging mobile TV sector. To win this accolade from our industry peers who are part of global association is very satisfying.”
The FSA represents fabless companies and their supply chain and service partners from more than 21 countries spanning North America, Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.
Frontier Silicon was the winner of the PricewaterhouseCoopers hottest technology company of 2004 award and its products include complete DAB modules, DVB-T solutions and the underlying system-on-chip (SoC) devices.
