Pi Technology enters Chinese auto sector

CAMBRIDGE, England — Automotive systems specialist, Pi Technology, has selected Eontronix to distribute its products and provide local technical services in China.

The company has now completed its distribution network to covers all the major centres of the automotive industry. Eontronix joins Snap-On (Japan), Duel (Italy) and PacInfo Technologies, (U.S. West Coast) as distributors working with Pi Technology's subsidiaries in Detroit, Indianapolis and Germany.

Julian Styles, Head of Automotive, Pi Technology, said, “The Chinese automotive industry is a beacon of opportunity for technology specialists, with tremendous growth forecast over the next five years. This is the right time for us to enter the Chinese market with the local expertise, recognition and presence of Eontronix.”

Pi Technology is a leading consultancy in automotive electronics for a wide range of automotive applications, from in-car entertainment and telematics through to powertrain systems and vehicle controls. A quarter of trucks in the U.S. are controlled by the company’s engine-management software.
