Pittsburgh Simulation Corporation (PSC), a supplier of simulation and timing products for the verification of large electronic designs, has selected Dundee, Scotland as the location of its European headquarters.
Paul Carnaggio, PSC's president and CEO, said “The factors supporting our decision to choose Scotland as our European headquarters include access to the high-level design skills we need to continue to grow the company and the support of the Scottish Enterprise.”
PSC had recently appointed Roddy Beat as Pittsburgh Simulation's Director of European Operations, and revealed its plans to open a System Centre in Europe with full application engineering support. The centre will eventually employ 15 staff.
Beat, said, “The Alba Centre and the work it is doing to promote system on chip and system level integration technology was very important when PSC were looking for a European base. Our technology is based on providing verification solutions for the very kinds of design that Alba is involved with.”
