PrismTech took the wraps off its new Vortex Intelligent Data-Sharing Platform targeted at business-critical Internet-of-Things (IoT) systems for Device-to-Device and Device-to-Cloud system-wide interoperability in real-time.
According to Steve Jennis, SVP Corporate Development, PrismTech, Vortex incorprates capabilities for reliable and secure delivery of the high volumes of data and stringent end-to-end qualities-of-service (QoS);that businesses will need if they are going to commit themselves to the use of IoT connectivity.
He said Vortex creates a system-wide global data space capability with more than 20 configurable quality of service (QoS) setting to provide the precise the performance, efficiency, agility, security and robustness required by specific buiness IoT networks.
The Vortex platform includes components (software agents) to connect mobile phones and tablets (Vortex Café), connected sensors and machines (Vortex Lite), Cloud services (Vortex Cloud), browsers (Vortex Web), corporate systems (OpenSplice Enterprise) and complementary networks (via Vortex Gateway).
The Vortex family also comes with a complete set of tools in support of systems’ development and management (e.g. configuring, testing, optimizing, monitoring and recording system behavior ) and it provides a rich and open API for integration with other IoT application development technologies (such as IDEs, Java EE application servers, M2M platforms and analytics engines ).
