Quadros Systems, Inc. has announced that the RTXC Quadros real-time operating system now supports the new CodeWarrior integrated development environment (IDE) for ARM-based processors. The Metrowerks development suite includes an editor, a debugger, a compiler for ARM architectures, and an assembler and linker. The RTXC Quadros RTOS features a kernel awareness plug-in module for the Metrowerks development suite that gives developers visibility to the kernel. An execution profiler is included in the kernel awareness module.
The integration into the Metrowerks IDE extends Quadros support to the Motorola MX1, Intel XScale, and other ARM-based platforms. According to Tom Barrett, president of Quadros Systems. “The new Metrowerks development environment coupled with the RTXC Quadros RTOS will give our customers a distinct advantage in developing applications for ARM-based architectures.”
The RTXC Quadros real-time operating system is a second-generation RTOS composed of two major architectural modules: a single stack kernel and a multi-stack kernel to extend configuration flexibility and scalability to a broader range of control processing and DSP applications.
The RTXC Quadros real-time operating system, with support for the new Metrowerks CodeWarrior development suite, is available immediately. Licenses start at $12,500.
