LONDON Quest Innovations, the Netherlands based developer of turn-key reusable IP, has become a preferred IP partner in the Aldec IP Core Partner Program. Aldec is a supplier of mixed-language simulation and advanced design tools for ASIC and FPGAdevices.
According to Richard Meester, president/CEO of Quest Innovations, said, “Designers interested in specific IP cores, or in simply researching at is available, can go to one spot and look at the types of cores provided by Aldec and its IP Core Partners.”
Creighton Roethler, sales and marketing manager for the Advanced Products Group at Aldec, said, “We are pleased that Quest Innovations and their portfolio of intellectual property has joined our partner program, as this continues to add to the variety of high-quality IP for our customers to use in their designs.”
The IP Core Partners can also become part of Aldec's IP Core Generator for Active-DHL. Active-HDL is a Windows-based, integrated, HDL design and simulation environment. It supports VHDL, Verilog, SystemC andEDIF from design entry through implementation. It provides fast simulation runs for all designs, regardless of source language or target silicon, including those with embedded devices.
The product conforms to IEEE standards for VHDL and Verilog and provides a complete Actel FPGA solution. Active-HDL 6.3 AE includes a multi-design workspace, HDL editor, state machine editor, block diagram and schematic editors, automatic testbench generation, simulation design profiler, signal agent, waveform viewer, SystemC and a choice of VHDL, Verilog or mixed-VHDL/Verilog/EDIF simulation.
Quest Innovations' IP blocks range from 16/32-bit Risc processors cores, SVGA controllers with 2D/3D acceleration, memory controllers and interface IP cores like MOST MLB, IDE, Serial Uart.
