LONDON Jamie D'Albe has been appointed as manufacturing manager of Remploy Electronics, Barking, one of the company's main PCB manufacturing facilities.
D’Albe joins Remploy from BAE Systems in Basildon where he was production programme manager and originally joined the company at its Ilford site as a process engineer when it was Plessey. He was then production engineering manager and project leader followed as the company's ownership changed to Siemens and finally BAE Systems.
He began his career in Barnstaple where he served an engineering apprenticeship with J & S Marine before joining power supply manufacturer Coutant Lamba as a senior industrial engineer.
Remploy has embarked on a significant investment programme in 2004 to enhance its production capabilities. Remploy Electronics is a standalone division created in 2003 to focus entirely on providing manufacturing services to the electronics sector. It has six dedicated production sites offering PCB, cable and wiring harness, and electro-mechanical assembly.
