LONDON A Scottish design consultancy is attempting to move to the forefront of future wireless consumer product creation by increasing its investment in highly-disruptive communications technology.
Strong business growth has led the company to establish an RF silicon development team, complementing the its existing power management business. A recruitment drive at Elonics (Livingston, U.K.) came at a fortunate time as Cadence was scaling down its Scottish operation this summer.
Commercial Manager, Alf Sheppard and Principal Engineers, Tony Gribben and Jim Brown, all previously with Cadence, will lead Elonics new product development in ultra wide band communications and multi-media receiver products.
Between them they have 60 years experience within the industry and a further three senior engineers recruited over recent months, again from Cadence, augment Elonics RF silicon development team.
Elonics is a privately owned company that was founded in September 2003 and specializes in developing analogue/mixed-signal silicon devices.
