Rugged connector maker opens European HQ

LONDON — Omnetics has opened a European sales headquarters in Portsmouth, England, to increase penetration in demanding markets such as mil-aero, medical, petrochemical, telecoms, instrumentation and other sectors that require highly rugged and reliable coonectors.

“Omnetics will be a new name to many European designers, but the company has over 20 years experience in producing interconnect solutions for prestigious applications such as NASA’s Phoenix Scout Mission and the B2 Stealth Bomber,” said Gary Evans who was recently appointed European sales manager.

Omnetics has a range of European partner distributors and in the U.K., has recently appointed Genalog as a franchised distributor.

Omnetics was formed in 1984 and has a fully integrated design and manufacturing plant in Minneapolis, Minnesota U.S, where it produces micro and nano miniature interconnect products, featuring COTS, standards and custom connectors.
