LONDON Ian Hunt, sales director at Fibre Technologies (FTL), has acquired 24.9% of the company and has plans to grow the business significantly over the next four years.
Hunt has worked at FTL (Crowthorne, England) for over five years, starting as a sales executive and is responsible for a team of six sales executives with plans to grow the team by a further three executives over the next year.
Before working at FTL, Hunt held engineering positions at Westell, Telspec and GEC Avionics, before moving into sales. During his time with FTL, Hunt has been responsible for founding partner relationships and bringing new product lines into the business, which included achieving a primary dealership contract with network technology provider Pandatel.
Hunt said, “Fibre Technologies is a very stable and secure company, which is why I had no hesitation in buying into the business. I am looking forward to taking the business to the next level and achieving our turnover target of £6million over the next three years.”
Founded in 1990, FTL is a specialist supplier of fibre optic communication products and services including copper to copper, copper to fibre, fibre to fibre, optical multiplexers, test and measurement solutions, access multiplexers, networking IP, and additional component products.
