WOKINGHAM, England Schaffner has completed the supply and installation of a bespoke EMC test facility in Turkey. The final commissioning was witnessed and approved by the UK National Physical Laboratory (NPL). According to Andrew Kotas, marketing manager of Schaffner the project took three years to negotiate.
Part of the new TUBITAK National Metrology Laboratory and financed by the World Bank, this multi-million dollar contract was won by Schaffner against worldwide competition.
The TUBITAK facility is equipped to test industrial and domestic products such as mobile phones, televisions, and military equipment and is large enough to accommodate whole vehicles.
The facility is one of the largest in the world and uses Compliance3 software which features modular building of test routines, flexible configuration options, and comprehensive reporting and multi-user capabilities.
