LONDON Virtio Corporation, the developer of Virtual Platforms for embedded software development, has expanded the distribution of its products to the UK through an agreement with SDC Systems.
SDC Systems provides embedded development tools and services to telecommunications, aerospace, industrial, and automotive systems engineers in the UK.

Virtio Virtual Platforms support a variety of operating systems including Linux, Microsoft Windows CE, Palm OS and Symbian OS, as well as a number of tool chains including ARM RealView, Metrowerks CodeWarrior; Microsoft’s embedded Visual Tools for application development; and Platform Builder for kernel development, on a range of processor technologies including TI OMAP, ARM7 & 9, Intel Xscale and MIPS
They improve the software developers’ productivity by enabling software development and hardware/software integration before hardware prototypes are available.
