LONDON Sequoia has strengthened its sensors division, bringing in Simon Thornton as product manager and Richard Oakley as field sales manager.
Richard Oakley (pictured right) brings to Sequoia a consultancy based approach to working with key accounts, based on working with customers in engineering, defence, automotive and pharmaceutical companies to develop technical solutions thataddress their measurement challenges. He comes to Sequoia from National Instruments, where he spent over three years as district sales manager. Prior to this, he worked with Yokogawa and IAT Systems in technical sales positions.
Simon Thornton's (left) specific strength is in relays, and he believes he can add a valuable contribution on the Coto franchise. He joins Sequoia from Acal, where he spent 16 years in product and supplier management. Prior to this, he held sales positions with Invader and MCP Electronics. He started his career with three years as a designer for Richmond Research.

Simon and Richard have the experience and the background to be able to build on this success, and accelerate our growth in this area going forward.”
