Single-chip UWB solution includes radio, PHY, MAC, I/O, and apps processor

Artimi's RTMI-100 is a single-chip Ultra Wideband (UWB) solution, one of the first to reach the market. The device is a complete UWB solution implemented in 0.18-micron SiGe BiCMOS. The digital portion is implemented in CMOS, while the high-frequency section is implemented in SiGe. The RTMI-100 can process up to 4 GHz of coherent bandwidth and integrates a low-noise amplifier and a power amplifer, an adaptive channel digital radio, an IEEE 802.15.3 MAC, a standard PCI 2.3 interface with master/slave, and a flexible expansion port with a dedicated RISC I/O processor. In addition, it's designed to be compliant with FCC Part 15 Subpart F. More information is available at www.artimi.com.
