Small-format, in-building wireless antenna supports 800 MHz to 2.4 GHz

Laird Technologies introduced its UltraSphere CAF 94895, a micro-miniature, low-profile, in-building wireless antenna that provides up to 3.6-dBi gain and operates over the wideband frequency range of 800 MHz to 2.4 GHz, enabling six different technologies (AMPS, GSM, PCS, DCS, UMTS, and Wi-Fi) to radiate through the same antenna.

The multi-band, omni-directional wireless antenna is targeted at cellular voice and data service providers, system integrators, VARs, and OEMS. Due to its extensive wideband coverage, the UltraSphere CAF 94895 is service provider and region independent which further enhances its flexibility. The aesthetically pleasing Ultrasphere CAF 94895 measures 1.7 mm in maximum thickness. The product also is suited for ceiling applications and can be concealed almost anywhere.

Depending on the frequency range, the antenna has a peak gain range up to 3.6 dBi, and its full dimensions are 179 by 80 by 1.7 mm with a SMA female connector.
