Software eases hands free design

Russia — Spirit, an eXpressDSP software developer, has released RealDuplex, an acoustic echo canceller (AEC) for hands free car kits which is targeted for OEMs developing kits.

Compatible with Bluetooth, this solution can provide a base for development a device with wireless interface to mobile phone. RealDuplex includes all the software components for developing a device. The echo cancellation and noise suppression features filter out surrounding noise and phone echo effects.

RealDuplex is based on full-duplex technology enables both parties speak at the same time, without any delays, squealing, howling, voice clipping, or break-in.

It also has a speech recognition module, enabling implementation of voice-activated communication control. Simple verbal commands can be used to place calls, bringing true hands-free convenience.
