LONDON Zigor Corporation SA., a Spainish producer of energy conversion systems, electronic power devices and renewable energy solutions has opened a U.K. headquarters and distribution centre in Nobottle, Northampton.
The move should improve U.K. customers access to Zigor’s (Álava, Spain) products from domestic uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems to high-end industrial solutions, solar panels and wind turbines.
“We are bringing a new concept to the UK in our ability to analyse and meet the total energy requirements of industrial and commercial customers. The U.K. is a big opportunity for us, especially in the area of renewable energy, wind power in particular,” said, Javier Olarte, general manager Zigor Corporacion.
The company provides tailored solutions for retailers, distributors and end-users and invests more than €1.5 million a year in research and development.
Zigor has other offices in Portugal, Brazil, Chile and Mexico with research and product development as well as manufacture based in Spain. The company has sales of €20 million for UPS systems in 2007. It is owned by The Cegasa Group, which had a turnover €210 million in the last financial year.
