Stretch Inc.'s new S55VDP Video Development Platform is based on its Stretch S5500 software-configurable processor and targeting at networked video applications requiring multiple video input formats and configuration streams.
The Video Development Platform can accept a variety of video inputs, including NTSC/PAL composite and S-video, as well as HD component input, and supports HD component video output.
The platform comes with a complete set of development tools including the Stretch Integrated Development Environment (IDE), BIOS, and softwarelibraries as well as video demos including H.264 encoding and image resize.
The S55VDP enables the evaluation of Stretch's technology and video applicationacceleration based on Stretch's video kernels or algorithms from Stretch's partners.
The platform includes the S5500 device, 256 MB DDR400 SDRAM SO-DIMM, 4 MBFlash, and 8 Kb EEPROMs as well as variety of industry-standard peripherals, connectors, and interfaces.
Available later this year, the S55VDP is priced at $2,750 and includes a complete set of development tools.
