LONDON The board of directors of Esmertec has appointed Ruedi Noser its chairman for the next two years following his election to the board at an extraordainary general meeting.
Jean-Pascal Aubert and Hans Peter Baumgartner were also elected by the shareholders to the board of directors which now consists of eleven members.
The increase in conditional share capital in Esmertec (Zurich, Switzerland) was also approved, which will enable the company to grant stock options to employees, executive management and board members in order to attract and retain highly experienced personnel.
Noser is chairman of the board of Noser Management AG and the main shareholder of the Noser Group (Hombrechtikon, Switzerland) companies. He is an entrepreneur and was elected a member of the Swiss parliament in 2003. In his capacity as an MP, he is outspoken in defending the freedom of companies to develop, the interests of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as the system of vocational training.
The Noser Group includes Nexus Telecom AG, Bucher & Suter AG, FROX communication AG, and Noser Engineering AG as well as Noser Management AG.
