SYSGO snaps up SESE to provide Scandinavian channel


Mainz, Germany — SYSGO has acquired Swedish Scandinavian Embedded Solutions & Engineering (SESE). SESE will distribute SYSGO's Linux products in the Scandinavian countries as well the LynxOS real-time operating system and hardware products from Thales, Tews, and Polyrack.

Knut Degen, CEO at SYSGO said, “Scandinavia is, after Germany, the second fastest growing Linux market in Europe. In this market you can't sell just a product. To provide high quality support and services you have to have a local office. The acquisition of SESE is the first step of our European strategy to proceed our success in the German speaking countries also in Europe.”

As well as its own embedded Linux distribution, ELINOS, SYSGO also provides board support for a number of hardware platforms, support, services, and assistance for application development with Linux.

It is developing device drivers and board support packages for custom hardware and is integrating third party middleware software solutions and networking protocol stacks.
