Taiwanese quartz crustal maker opens European office
LONDON Mercury Electronics, which claims to be the oldest quartz crystal manufacturer in Taiwan, has opened a European sales support office in Crewkerne, England.
Founded in 1973, it has production facilities in Taipei-Sian in Taiwan, Jiang-Su in China and Rancho Cucamonga in the US.
“As part of our long term policy, we recognise the importance of the European OEM design facilities and the aim of our new office is to support the larger volume OEM companies who require design and global logistical support,” said Marty Yen, general manager.
Mercury already supplies many Far Eastern subcontract organizations that assemble volume products for European partners. It has a range of products which includes SMD crystals, filters, clock oscillators, LVDS/LVPECL oscillators, low EMI oscillators, VCXOs, TCXOs and OCXOs.
