TenAsys ports INTime RTOS, eVM virtual machine to Haswell

TenAsys Corp .  has extended its support for Intel’s processor families with validation of its INtime Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) and eVM for Windows Embedded Virtualization Manager (VMM) for use on the 4th generation Intel Core processor family.

Formerly codenamed “Haswell,” the 4th generation Intel Core processor family targets applications that combine the need for an advanced Human Man Interfaces (HMI) with advanced processing, such as advanced industrial machine controllers and medical devices.

“TenAsys’ real-time embedded virtualization technologies have been fully aligned with Intel’s multicore strategy in supporting evolving usage models,” said Kim Hartman, TenAsys’ Vice President of Marketing and Sales.

The INtime Real-Time Operation System (RTOS) family runs on single-core, hyper-threaded and multicore IA PC platforms, and comes in two binary compatible usage configurations: INtime for Windows where the INtime RTOS runs alongside the Microsoft Windows and INtime Distributed RTOS where INtime runs as a stand-alone RTOS.

The company’s eVM for Windows VMM enables different guest operating systems to run along with Windows in the same Intel architecture system.
